Director

Nick got his start at camp in 1987 as a camper at Ivy League Day Camp.  He spent 10 years as a camper at Ivy League and also completed their Counselor in Training program.  In 1998, Nick began working at Hidden Pond Day Camp.  Over 8 years, he held various positions at Hidden Pond including: Counselor, Specialist, Division Head, Director of After Care and Maintenance Coordinator.  He went on to spend 3 summers as the Director of Kids Quest Summer Camp in Mount Sinai. Most recently, he was the Assistant Camp Director at The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University before opening Campus Summer Camps & Academies.  He looks forward to watching the camp grow and making a postiive impact on all the campers that attend. Nick earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany, and a MBA in General Management and MS in Adolescent Education from Dowling College.  Nick currently lives in Holbrook with his wife Monica, and their 3 children: Gianna, Matteo and Nico.

Director 

Ashleigh returns for her 3rd summer at Campus Camps as our Camp Director.  Ashleigh has been part of Campus Camps since the beginning.  She has been a huge part of the growth of all of our programs. She works year round developing programming, handling all administrative needs and leading our marketing efforts.  Ashleigh has worked at camp since she was 14 years old.  She got her start working in the kitchen at Hidden Pond Day Camp and went on to be an Office Assistant and Activity Coordinator during her tenure there.  After Hidden Pond, she went on to become the Office Manager of The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University from 2011-2014. When she is not working in the camp office, she likes to spend her time with family. She is currently pursuing her degree in Elementary Education. Logistics Coordinator

This summer will be Jason's third summer working at Campus Summer Camps & Academies.  As the Logistics Coordinator, Jason oversees the general maintenance and upkeep of our 175 acre campus as well as the setup and breakdown of our daily activities.  His camp career began as a camper at the Rinx Hockey Camp, which he attended for 6 years.  Prior to Campus Camps, he worked as a Counselor and Facility Assistant at The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University. He currently attends Manhattanville College in Westchester, New York, where he is a member of the Men's Lacrosse team and working towards a degree in Finance.  

Assistant Director

The 2017 Summer will be Dom Repole’s 2nd summer at Campus Summer Camps & Academies. Dom will be leading the numerous exciting field trips Campus Camps has planned for the Graduate program. He will also be apart of the day to day activities and operations of the camp. Prior to Campus Camps, Dom worked as a counselor and athletic specialist at Hidden Pond Day Camp over the course of 5 summers. He also was a camper at Hidden Pond Day Camp for 10 summers. Outside of camp, Dom is a certified secondary Social Studies teacher and a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh where he received a BA/MST in History Education. While at Plattsburgh, he served as student assistant coach and Director of Basketball Operations for the men’s basketball team. Dom is currently taking classes at Saint Joseph’s College in Patchogue working towards becoming a certified secondary Special Education teacher. Director Emeritus

After a successful career in Marketing, John decided to change careers and become a teacher.  He currently teaches at an Elementary School in Brooklyn.  He has been teaching for over a decade. Since his career change, he has spent every summer at camp. From 2011-2014 he was a Coordinator for The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University.  Prior to that, he was a Division Head and Specialist at Hidden Pond Day Camp.  John received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Dowling College and went on to earn his Masters Degree in Elementary Education from LIU Post.  He continued his education at Michigan State University, receiving an Advanced Certificate in Educational Technology.  John and his wife Gail live in Lake Ronkonkoma. They have two children: Ashleigh and Jason.

Assistant Director

Nicole enters her second summer at Campus Summer Camps & Academies and first as part of our Leadership Staff.  She will be assisting with Programming and the Administrative needs of the office as well as handling camper and staff issues. Nicole earned her Bachelor's degreee in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta and will be pursuing her Master's degree in Special Education.  She has worked at various camps over the past 6 years and is currently a substitute teacher.
